Tangible Secrets

Tangible Secrets is an ongoing collaborative project that Esther Cho launched in 2024. In this project, secrets were gathered from the walls of public restrooms and transformed into tangible sculptures using the jiseung technique, a traditional Korean paper-weaving method. The collected secrets provide a raw glimpse into personal thoughts and experiences, as the restroom serves as a private space free from pretense, allowing for genuine expression.

Now, you are invited to participate in this project by anonymously submitting your own secrets. Your contributions will be woven into the ongoing narrative of Tangible Secrets, allowing your voice to join the collective story.

Sharing your secrets, even anonymously, can be a cathartic experience, helping to foster connection and understanding while transcending barriers of language, culture, and identity.
